Bottom Hung Double Stack Smoke Vent

Due to the corridor width, a double stacked SHEV, compliant to EN12101-2 is required to provide a combined area of 1.0 sq/m aerodynamic. For simplified integration, performance adherence and demarcation responsibility it is far easier to integrate a SHEV from the same system as your façade system.

Side Hung Smoke Vent

A full height or double stacked side hung SHEV compliant to EN12101-2 is required to provide a combined area of 1.0 sq/m aerodynamic. For simplified integration, performance adherence and demarcation responsibility it is far easier to integrate a SHEV from the same system as your façade system.

Vertical Top Hung Intake AOVs

Top hung open out AOV’s (SHEV’s) are utilised at low level within natural and mechanical atrium smoke extract systems to provide inlet/replacement air. Top hung open out provides an optimum path for air intake as opposed to bottom hung open out for smoke exhaust.

Vertical Top Hung Extract AOV’s

Top hung open out AOV’s (SHEV’s) are utilised within the vertical upstand of an atria application to naturally exhaust smoke when the AOV is positioned above or within the smoke layer therefore smoke will exhaust before it drops to the safe escape layer. This is common when the AOV’s are utilised for environmental ventilation to prevent rain ingress however negative smoke discharge must be considered.

Vertical Side Hung Extract AOV’s

Side hung open out AOV’s (SHEV’s) are utilised within the vertical upstand of an atria application to naturally exhaust smoke to atmosphere.

Inclined Top Hung AOV’s

Top Hung inclined AOV’s (SHEV’s) are utilised to naturally exhaust smoke from an atria when the SHEV is positioned above or within the smoke layer therefore the smoke will exhaust before it drops to the safe escape layer. This is common when the AOV’s are utilised for environmental ventilation to prevent rain ingress however negative smoke discharge must be considered. In larger atria applications inclined SHEV’s are utilised as both intake and extract AOV’s.

Inclined Bottom Hung AOV’s

Bottom Hung inclined AOV’s (SHEV’s) are utilised to naturally exhaust smoke to atmosphere from an atria. In larger atria applications inclined SHEV’s are utilised as both intake and extract AOV’s.

Glazed Louvre

The SHEVTEC glazed louvre is tested to EN121001-2 with an aerodynamic free area of 1.0 s for an end of corridor AOV application. It is important to consider the overall performance of the façade including U value and weather performance as this product is often glazed into the façade system.
