Actuators may have programmable closing force and speed which will negate the risk if the leading edge of the vent only is below 2.5m, however the scissor effect to the side of the vent must be assessed as the closing pressures are higher.
Considered design and control strategy can often negate the requirement for PIR sensors in addition to risk assessing the building type and it’s occupants.
