Due to the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic, as of 1st April 2020 SE Controls will be moving to a position of operating essential business activities via a core remote team. This is a temporary measure for an as yet undefined period of time. This is an unprecedented situation in the UK construction industry and it remains dynamic, as will our response to it.
The health, well-being and ongoing employment of our workforce is of paramount importance and the business has already implemented a range of measures to ensure our employees remain safe. SE Controls is complying with the recommendations of the Government and health authorities concerning the current Covid-19 pandemic. Where possible, those of our staff who can work from home are doing so and all non-essential travel is cancelled.
SE Controls remains open for business and our core team are on hand and looking forward to assisting with any enquiries. The essential business activities that remain in place are explained below:
Where new-build sites remain open, our engineers are actively attending to our customers’ needs whilst strictly following recognised safety protocols to protect themselves and our clients. As a result of the Government’s rightly strict self-isolation recommendations our engineer capacity is reduced, and we are having to prioritise requests where safe to do so.
The following commercial functions remain in place:
Maintenance of life safety systems remains a legal requirement. Our engineers are actively attending to our customers’ needs whilst strictly following recognised safety protocols to protect themselves and our clients. As a result of the Government’s rightly strict self-isolation recommendations our engineer capacity is reduced, and we are having to prioritise requests.
Any works relating to the NHS will be treated as a priority. Other public buildings which are critical to fighting the Coronavirus will also be treated preferentially. Your safety is important to us. We will therefore also be prioritising emergency call outs and emergency repair works. Non critical rectification works, remedial works and planned preventative maintenance will be scheduled where possible but Government travel restrictions may prevent our engineers’ access to your site. We regret that we cannot attend sites which are not covered under a current maintenance agreement due to capacity issues caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
