SE Controls recently delivered a keynote seminar on its SHEVTEC® range of smoke ventilation solutions to over 50 delegates at the Bahrain International Conference Centre. Delegates including fire consultants, Civil Defence officials and engineers received a detailed presentation explaining the significant advantages available to building designers by using the SHEVTEC® range. SE Controls have invested significant amounts of time and money researching and developing this unique approach to protecting escape corridors and emergency stairs to provide safe escape conditions in the event of a fire. The SHEVTEC® system, already approved by Bahrain’s Civil Defence, provides greater protection than existing systems by clearing smoke from corridors as well as protecting escape stairs unlike existing systems which only protect the stairs. Importantly this benefit comes without a cost penalty AND can be utilised to provide daily ventilation to these common areas.
