The Green Building Trade Show hosted by South Africa’s Industry professional institutes attracted over 1,000 leading professionals of the built environment who are committed to learn about the latest green building techniques.
The show held over 100 exhibitors and provided delegates with a comprehensive conference programme in keeping with green building requirements of design and construction. The conference programme delivered four types of content:
• Inspirational international presentations from architects and designers;
• Locally relevant plenary content from South Africa's thought leaders;
• Practical, locally applicable, case studies;
• Current and new products, technologies and services available in 2010 in South Africa
SE Controls leading specialist provider of smoke and natural ventilation systems exhibited their natural ventilation offering at the show, despite the volcanic activity in Iceland playing havoc on flights and the prefabricated exhibition stand from the UK stuck in transit.
Natural ventilation solutions are available for all premises regardless of size and shape, offering a greener safety solution whilst reducing costs.
In today's climate 'greener living' and budget restraints can be tough to juggle - achieve both through natural ventilation by cutting maintenance and energy costs and allowing air movement through buildings, eliminating the need for air conditioning and thus increasing usable floor space and reducing "sick building syndrome".
